it was Dan Walker and co. dominating locals today in the finals , not sure if Friday killed horse power or just second best Farmers and Merchants put on a deadly attack from the git go scoring 3 in 3 minutes but Klentner ranch fought back often to within a goal and tieing a few times but could never lead it was very close in 4th and started to stretch out in 5 th and was basically over when 6 th started . “Classic Car Day” was the theme at the Oak Brook polo grounds this last Sunday 19th July, 2015. The 1:00pm first match was led by an impressive 17 classic car parade. The Oak Brook Polo Club team was captained by Jim Drury playing at back, and John Greene playing in the number 1 scoring position. Horacio Onetto, and Jason Wates did the heavy lifting in the middle for the team. Hinsdale Magazine was back again in force with Samantha Falbe and Bob McMurtry playing up front, while Del Walton played at 3, and Matias Obregon at 4. In an emotionally-charged tournament, Travieso won its Aspen Valley Polo Club debut.
Travieso (Teo Calle, Marc Ganzi, Nic Roldan, Stewart Armstrong) came from behind to win the second annual Craig Sakin Memorial Cup Sunday in front of a good local crowd and worldwide ChukkerTV audience.
Travieso tied La Karina (Melissa Ganzi, Brian Boyd, Mariano Gracida, Juan Bollini), 5-5, and defeated Mt. Sopris Ranch (Juancito Bollini, Grant Ganzi, Carlitos Gracida, Lucas Lalor), 4-3, to clinch the round-robin tournament with nine cumulative goals.
Mt. Sopris Ranch, which defeated La Karina, 5-3, in the opener, was runner-up.

Palm City Polo Club welcomed Harvard Polo Women’s Captain Aemilia Phillips for lessons and practice chukkers in preparation for her upcoming Metropolitan Intervarsity Tournament in Tianjin, China.
The tournament at the Tianjin Goldin Metropolitan Polo Club will feature six polo teams from the top universities in the U.S. and U.K. Harvard, Stanford, and Yale will compete with Cambridge, Oxford and the University of London for this year’s trophy. Matches begins July 19 and end with the final July 26.
