The tournament season continues at Grand Champions Polo Club in Wellington wit the opening round of the 2008 Polo Gear Fall Classic. Four teams, rated from fifteen to seventeen goals will take part in the two-day fall event.
Isla Carroll (17) will continue into the fall with a lineup that includes John/Bo Goodman; Brandon Phillips; Justo Saavedra; and Mauricio Devrient. The GTP/Newport (16) team will feature Marc Ganzi; Gene Goldstein; Tommy Biddle; and Luis Escobar. Vicomte Arthur (15) will line up with Melissa Ganzi; Ruben Gracida; Juan Bollini; and J. J. Celis. Heronwood (15) will take the field behind Michael Liss; Hector Galindo; John Gobin/Steve Dalton; and Leo Mandelbaum.
Isla Carroll and GTP/Newport will open the tournament with a 10 am game on Friday morning. At noon, Vicomte Arthur will face Heronwood. Both games will be played at Grand Champions Polo Club.
The winners of Friday’s matches will meet in the Sunday finals at noon. The losers from Friday’s games will play in the consolation match at 10 am. Both matches will be played at Grand Champions Polo Club.
