This major international tournament, which last year attracted four teams comprising 12 players from six nations, will host six teams for this forthcoming event.  They will compete for top honours on snow in a spectacular setting in the world’s oldest and fastest team sport.

The players will include such stars as polo pro Jack Kidd, who is one of the co-founders of the event. Off the playing field, the VIP and apres-ski attractions will be even bigger and better than before – including a number of hospitality tents ranging from a chic alpine bar with fireplace and a smokers lounge tent. The entertainment will cause a stir thanks to one of London’s most sought after party DJ’s, Dan Lywood, who has been keeping the crowds at the pop up members club Quintessentially Soho in London grooving these last few weeks as well as recent catwalk shows for Givenchy and Vivienne Westwood in Paris and Vogue’s fundraiser at the Metropolitan Museum of Art.

All spectators will be entitled to free admission to the heated public tent, equipped with a bar and offering great views of the arena. Berenberg Snow polo offers a more intimate experience of ‘the game of kings’. Due to the smaller playing field setting of an arena, with walls built from snow, the spectators can get unusually close to the thrilling action. They are literally able to almost reach out and touch the horses, which means an electric atmosphere thanks to the strong connection between the players and those watching.

Although the tournament attracts it’s own fair share of dazzling high society it’s spirit is more about the passion and for the polo game itself with spectators quickly captivated by the fast-paced action. Also the Klosters event has the unique aspect of the matches being played in the evening thanks to floodlighting from two huge helium balloons which heightens the thrill of the action.
