Its the 3rd round of the PCO and there is only two to go. Today is a do or die sort of day for several teams. On the line is their pride and a chance to get to the semis. The first one is at Piocho where both teams need a win to have a chance, Grant’s Farm at 1 and 1 and Grand Champion at 0 and 2. In the other one at 10 a.m. is Zacara and Mr. Lea looking for a three on their side and ERG with ‘Nick the Stick” (Nick Roldan) back from NY looking to get to 2 and 1. It should be an emotional game as Nick was the capitan of Zacara in their win here last year. That will be followed by Lucchese trying to stay in the win column against a very tough Long Beach, who have been on the brink of winning every game. The last one of the day is Audi, the Monster’s of the Midway, at 2 and 0 vs Piocho Ranch, who seem to be going the wrong way on this freeway.

Mr. Ganzi is raising cain about the monster rule. He has avoided it, but its never been about the unknown. Its been used only for people who have been here. Review the history. Those who have been Monstered include: Julio Gracida, Alan Martinez and Martin Ravina. Most were here in the U.S. for a while, some as long as 20 years in Alan’s case. Julio was 15 years old and born here. Babe Ruth was a pitcher before he became a homerun King. Spectacular Bid was a 17,000.00 juvenille and won the Triple Crown. Sometimes improvement happens in a “monster way.” Individuals become phenominal in a short amount of time. Its great when it happens, but that does not mean that it happens to everyone.

See you at Polo, monster or not it will be a very nice day and SBPC is very happy to have MG here anyway so am I .
