At the start of the 3 o’clock game, which with two games going into overtime gave it a start time more like 4 p.m., was begun with great fanfare as Bentley Beverly Hills, the sponsor of today’s games brought up two brand spanking new Bentley’s – the Continental GT Coupe and a Continental Flying Spur Sedan to demonstrate the luxury of the newest additions to its lavish car line. The SBPRC invited all Bentley owners to come to the games. Nearly 10 Bentley’s drove onto the field leading the way for the traditional “Parade of the Ponies.” Which is when the players, on their mounts, are introduced to the audience individually by Polo Manager and announcer Andy Smith as they ride past the grandstands to cheers and applause.
