In rodeo they call the really bad buckin’ horses and bulls the eliminator pen. This round of games could be the same and its Patron Power making it happen. Right now the only team in the semis for sure is Jimmy Choo and their patron Lynden Lea had the play of the weekend on Sunday. In the 6th chukker with Duende set too close within 1 goal. It was Agustin Merlos, 10 goals, flying down the field solo and about 220 yds from goal. He had two Jimmy Choo players in pursuit and Lyndon Lea looked like he was on Barbaro in May. He just kept flying after Merlos and as the 10-goaler looked back and saw it was Lea I think he thought no problem. Just as the door was to close Lea blasted a hook and it was 0 to 10 and a + for 0 as his hook left the ball inches short of the goal. Lea’s teammate Ruki cleared it, but it was a momentum change by this great play that fired Jimmy Choo back up. Nick Roldan “The Stick” did the rest. Here is the way it is as of Aug. 15, 2006.

Teams teams left to play

Grants Farm/Klentner Ranch 2 and 2 Windsor Capital – Audi Polo
Duende 2 and 2 Mansour, Windsor Capital
Jimmy Choo 4 and 0 Audi, Mansour
Antelope 1 and 4 Mansour
Windsor Capital 1 and 3 Grants Farm, Duende
Mansour 1 & 2 Duende. Antelope, Jimmy Choo
Audi 3 & 1 Jimmy Choo, Grants Farm

Antelope is out, but could play a spoiler if only to knock-off Mansour. Windsor is in trouble. They need 2 wins to have a chance. Duende has a big game on Wed. with Mansour. One will end up with 3 losses and Mansour has Antelope left to play. Then Jimmy Choo after that. Duende needs to win at least 1 to get through. Jimmy Choo is in a pickin’ position. They can cruise or destroy their choice. Audi is in good shape, but they have 2 very tough games ahead. So its time to step up to the plate or go get desert because its a must win for several. Its time to shine or dust off the traveling plans.

Be there if you can. Its a wide-open race after the Choo Choo with the Big Stick (Nick Roldan) in control. See ya.
