ESPN AND TRIPLE CROWN OF POLO RETURN TO SANTA BARBARA
Pacific Coast Open to host ESPN for third leg of polo tournament this weekend

LOS ANGELES – The Triple Crown of Polo (TCP) and ESPN return to the Santa Barbara Polo and Racquet Club this Sunday, August 27, 2006. The championship game of the Bombardier Pacific Coast Open will be held at 3:00 p.m. and will be featured on ESPN2 as the third leg of the prestigious tournament set to air on September 17, 2006.

The Santa Barbara Polo and Racquet Club, located at 3300 Via Real in Carpinteria, was chosen as the third leg of the TCP because of its high level of play and the spectacular location for the ESPN cameras to film.

The stunning Tiffany and Co. trophy will be unveiled for the first time in Santa Barbara on Sunday after it is delivered to the polo grounds via armored car. The new TCP trophy is comprised of three separate trophies that represent each TCP event. When combined, the pieces fit together to create an entire polo scene that is breathtaking in sterling silver.

The TCP trophy will be on display at center field in the TCP pavilion where an Elton John Limited Edition Signature Series Red Piano and the all-new Lexus LS 460 will also be featured.

The TCP series brands polo to create an integrated platform to maximize exposure and corporate support for the sport. ESPN offers action to more than 90 million homes domestically while ESPN International’s 29 networks reaches 192 countries and territories.
