Thermal, CA (December 31, 2007) – To those who know Sean Keys, it came as no surprise, that to send off 2007,  he would host a black tie polo game at his La Quinta Polo Club. What may have been a surprise, however, was the fact that the guests were not in black tie – the players were. With the exception of polo whites, all the players involved wore tuxedos for the entire game. As would befit the occasion, one team dressed in black jackets and the others played in white – all were expected to, and did, wear ties.

In a very wide open and entertaining contest, the Blacks defeated the Whites by a score of 11 – 7.

Joseph Stuart led the winners with five goals as Danny Juarez scored three, Craig Steinke contributed a pair, and Kimo Huddleston had one.

For the Whites, Keys (1 foul), Carlos Galindo, and Fergus Gould had two each, with a single from Mike Kerley.

It wasn’t known who would return the jackets et al or what the explanation would be, but it was known that in all likelihood, the deposit would be forfeited.

The 2008 season at La Quinta starts January 17, 2008.

White – Sean Keys 1, Mike Kerley 3, Fergus Gould 4, Carlos Galindo 4.

Black – Craig Steinke 1, Joseph Stuart 3, Daniel Juarez 4, Kimo Huddleston 4.
