Delegates Meeting:

There will be a meeting of the USPA delegates of the Pacific Coast Circuit at the Eldorado Polo Club at 9:00 AM at the Cantina on April 8th. The finals of the Governor’s Cup Tournament will be that afternoon so plan to attend both events.

Umpire Reimbursement:

Almost $30,000 has been allotted to our circuit for umpire reimbursement for 2012. This is the highest amount allotted to any circuit. There will be a full discussion of the program and the procedure for obtaining reimbursement for your club’s umpire expense at the Delegates Meeting. The reimbursement is for tournament games and not practice games. The tournament must have at least 3 teams. The club must be a USPA club. The umpire must have at least a CT rating. The program is for both arena and outdoor tournaments. There will be a form available so that your club can reserve a portion of those funds for particular tournaments later in the year. By reserving a portion of the funds your club will know ahead of time that there will be sufficient funds available to reimburse the club for an umpire expense for a tournament planned later in the year.

In addition, the $2,700 per circuit reimbursement is also available. This year the amount can be divided among a number of clubs. Last year Central Coast and Horse Park in Menlo split the reimbursement.

PDI

Prior to this year almost $150,000 of PDI funds have been distributed to polo clubs in our circuit. For 2012 there are applications filed for $80,000 for our circuit.

See you at the Delegate’s Meeting.
