Denver Polo Classic Seeks to Raise Over $400,000 for At-Risk Youth
Members of the all-volunteer Denver Active 20-30 Children’s Foundation have set their sights on raising over $400,000 as they host the 21st Annual Denver Polo Classic (www.denverpolo.com) July 11, 12 and 13. The largest philanthropic polo tournament in the North America, the 3-day gala is filled with entertainment, gourmet food, wines, and international polo – bringing professional polo players from around the world to enjoy a beautiful setting in support of a wonderful cause.
The event is held at the exclusive Polo Reserve Development located near Mineral and Santa Fe. The festivities kick-off Friday night, July 11th with the annual Black-Tie Ball. The Polo field creates a perfect backdrop for this memorable Colorado summer evening. The Black-Tie Ball offers guests dinner, live music from the Hazel Miller Band, dancing and both a live and silent auction. The weekend continues with CollegeInvest Family Day on Saturday. The family will enjoy various children’s activities while watching the qualifying polo matches. Food from some of Denver’s favorite family restaurants and drinks will be provided by sponsors for the whole family to enjoy. Sunday is Championship Day and Polo enthusiasts arrive at the final matches decked out in garden party attire. Attendees will enjoy plenty of exciting Polo action, a variety of interesting wines and libations, as well as exquisite food from some of Denver’s finest eateries.
Each year the Denver Active 20-30 Children’s Foundation (www.DA2030.com) raises $350,000+ during the Denver Polo Classic for charities serving at-risk and disadvantaged youth in the Denver-area. Last year over 60 children’s organizations were supported through the efforts of this charitable non-profit organization. The public is encouraged to participate in the efforts to help raise awareness of the needs of these children in our community.
