The Polo Report
By Steve Crowder

DESERT POLO IT IS ON BIG TIME: Everyone was saying that there would be no polo in the desert with the huge Desert Trip concert that was held in Oct.  Well,  look at the fields in Indio. Only 20 days later and guess what?  No PROBLEM when big Al said he could make it work and he meant it.  Here comes Leroy and Green One and the race is on. It’s 20 days later and you tell me fields look bad? Look. Ok where are you? This is the place to be called “the desert with no RAIN.”

You have to remember someone made the desert into a polo oasis and I do not think he cannot change something like this.  Al Haagen, III said he still wants polo and we know he cares because he does not play and still does it.  That’s all you need to know. It’s not like polo makes money for the club,  but it does make our lives better in POLO.
