It was a clear crispy day in the desert, but out of the breeze it was perfect. You could not avoid it on the field, but the horses liked it and they are 75 % of the game, so it was ok. Anyway it got off to an early start as Windsor minus the Governor (Pat Nesbitt) played Dandy Dans Palm Desert. In a pretty good game it was Windsor with John Welsh out of Phoenix/Dallas filling in and help the “Blues” (Windsor) out score Palm Desert for a Win. It was Mr. Welsh’s first 12-goal game and it left him with some memories as he heads East with a broken collarbone and he got it 74 seconds before the game was over. Not his picture perfect polo debut dream.

The plane, however, was full of winners as Gary Haydon and his Phoenix squad went on a 3 game streak as they came from behind again and this time stopped Fish Creek. GH is packing a fair amount of tape on his leg so Libby was the nurse as they headed to EMR. Casa Blanca I assume stayed on course and got another WIN over Friendly Chev. This is a guess, so if I am wrong I will report back with a correction.

In the Final game of the day it was High Prairie on some last second heroics by Hugo Barabucci to come away with a win and give the Colorado Cowgirl (Jenny Luttrell) a loss for the day. The last half of the game was a running match. Sat. there are several good games, so come on out.

Guess what? The fields are turning green if you can believe it. They are looking better now.

Two games today at La Quinta Polo at 12 and 2:00. Its worth the drive to see that place as well. Down south its Big Polo as they have a 40-goal exhibition today, Jimmer Memorial and 2 semifinals in the 22-goal. So if your there you can see whatever you want. Help support the 40- goal fundraiser. Its for the Polo Players, not the committees of who knows what. Dave Offen has helped many Polo famlies with this fundraiser. Have a nice day. See ya.
