IGLEHART CUP PLAY
In Iglehart Cup action, Crab Orchard’s Nachi Heguy scored seven goals, including the game-winning score in overtime, as Crab Orchard beat Black Watch 13-12 in the 26-goal Iglehart Cup, the Whitney Cup’s subsidiary tournament.
In a game which saw Black Watch come back from an 8-5 halftime deficit to tie the game and force the sudden-death overtime, it was Nachi Heguy who provided the overtime heroics.
Crab Orchard was rebounding from an opening round loss to Audi in the 2008 C. V. Whitney Cup.
Teammate Adolfo Cambiaso accounted for four of Crab Orchard’s thirteen goals, including the tying score in the sixth chukker.
The real offensive thrust came from Black Watch’s Nacho Figueras and Pablo MacDonough who accounted for five goals in the final chukker of regulation play, first giving Black Watch the lead and then battling back to tie it up.
