The 2008 Women’s Championship Tournament (WCT) Finals are set to be played April 2-6, 2008 in Wellington Florida.
The 2007-2008 WCT season has included Qualifiers in Kentucky,South Carolina,Texas and Florida.The winner of this season’s WCT Qualifier tournament in Lexington, Kentucky was War Horse with Dana Aschinger, Cathy Brown, Alison Henderson and Cecelia Cochran. In the Aiken, South Carolina WCT Qualifier it was New Bridge taking home the trophy with Pam Gleason, Clarrissa Echezeretta, Alina Carta and Abby Riggs. Pegasus was the winner at the largest of the WCT Qualifiers in Houston, Texas with Anne Andras, Sheila Lequerica, Kate Weber and Lesley Masterton Fong Yee. War Horse won again in the Sarasota, Florida Qualifier with Alison Henderson, Therese Volmer, Jolie Liston and Dana Aschinger.Still to come is the Port Mayaca WCT Qualifier to be played on February 8, 2008.
To date 14 teams have participated in this season of the WCT and over 45 women have qualified to play in the WCT Finals 2008 on April 2nd – 6th in Wellington Florida.
