Yes, today is Friday the 13th and its the first day of high-goal polo in Santa Barbara. The start of the USPA Rossmore Cup in San Diego actually started yesterday. True Choice/OC got it started as they give San Fernando a thumping as the Wolf Man (Aston Wolf) was on fire. Bullet Bob (Robert Kiger) sent them to the line often. It was a Paicius sort of day and winning was the way. Today its Haydon’s machine trying to get on a forward move as they take on Ms. Kelly Maloney, who just got nipped in the last final. It should be a good one as the Palomino (Jason Crowder) needs to rise to the occasion of Friday the 13th. He has Mrs. Mano (Jessica Bailey-Mano,) helping him along with young gun Tomas Obregon and GH is ready to proceed ASAP.

Up in Santa Barbara its Audi and Gehache starting the Robert Skene Trophy. Then its ERG/Grant’s Farm taking on Klentner/Long Beach in the first and only round before the finals.

Lots of action in the world of polo this month. The UK Gold Cup heads to the quarter finals with a lot of big names. Cerra Pampa (Petaluma, CA) has a finals this week. Hidden Creek Polo Club has a wild one scheduled on Sunday in Oregon. Mr. Keys will try to stop running mate Wild Bill Freeman, who actually scored the first goal ever scored on Sean’s Hidden Creek fields just outside of Portand, OR.

It sounds like China and Russia are both getting a grip on the sport of polo as Moscow is moving forward with several plans. China has big plans, but they just need some shorter mallets for their current string of horses. All we have to do now is keep Halliburton and our VP out of their politics and maybe it will be safe to go there. Or maybe we need him to run the USPA. He made Halliburton rich in two years in their current job of building bridges to nowhere.

Jofie (Joseph Stuart), the Mig (Miguelito Torres) and the Rocket (Santi Torres) are also representing the West Coast well as they are making there mark on the other side of the USA. New fields are being built around the country and it is time to start making polo players made in the USA ASAP. So grab a horse and head to one. See ya.
