Friday, July 7 @ 11 a.m.
Audi Polo(19) dominated Windsor Capital(20) 17 to 10. Starting with one goal on the board, Melissa Ganzi(A) is playing this month, while her husband Marc(1) plays in August. Audi’s Kris Kampsen(6) was on fire scoring 13 goals as high scorer for the day, 10 were penalty shots. Pablo Spinachi(6) shot in 2 goals; and Juan Bollini(7) made 1 goal. Windsor Capital’s Chris Nevins(4) made 5 goals, all penalty shots; Jeff Hall(8) made 2 goals, one a penalty; Sugar Erskine(7) knocked in 2 goals, and patron Pat Nesbitt(1) made 1 goal.

Friday, July 7 @ 2 p.m.
It was Grants Farm/Klentner Ranch(20) over Jimmy Choo(20) 14 to 11. Mariano Gonzales(8) shot in 7 goals from the penalty lines; Jeff Blake(6) made 5 goals, one a penalty shot; and Andy Busch(5) knocked in 2 goals. Jimmy Choo’s Nick Roldan(8) did the heavy lifting scoring 10 goals, 4 of those penalty shots; Mariano Fassetta(7) shot in 1 goal.

Friday, July 7 @ 4:30 p.m.
Mansour((20) (say man-sore) conquered Antelope/Long Beach(20) 17 to 10. Martin Zegers(5) put in 8 goals, 3 from the penalty lines; Julian Daniels(6) drove in 5 goals; Adam Snow(9) scored 3 goals; and patron Ben Soleimani made 1 goal. For Antelope/ Long Beach, Dan Walker(4) scored 4 goals; Luis Escobar(7) shot in 3 goals, 1 a penalty shot; Miguelito Torres(4) was in for Geoff Palmer(1) and scored 2 goals, one a penalty shot; and Pancho Bensadon(9) made 1 goal.

Sunday, July 9, @ 11 a.m.
Audi Polo(19) won over Grants Farm/Klentner Ranch(20) narrowly, 11 to 10. Starting with 1 goal on the board, Audi’s Kris Kampsen shot in 5 goals from the penalty lines; Pablo Spinachi made 5 goals; and Juan Bollini made 1 goal. On Grants Farm/Klentner Ranch team, Mariano Gonzales(8) made 7 goals, 3 from the penalty lines; and Jeff Blake made 3 goals, 2 were penalty shots.

Sunday, July 9 @ 1 p.m.
Jimmy Choo(20) held on to win over Windsor Capital(20) 12 to 11. The team was playing in the Los Toros uniforms as its’ patron Michael Rothbard(A), is playing July for Jimmy Choo’s patron Lyndon Lea(A), coming in to play the month of August. Mariano Fassetta(7) is playing this month for Ruki Baileu(7). Nick Roldan(8) scored 5 goals, 1 was a penalty shot; teammate Brandon Philips(5) shot in 5 goals too, 3 were penalty shots; Mariano Fassetta(7) knocked in 2 goals. For Windsor Capital, Chris Nevins(4) made 6 goals, 5 of those were penalty shots; Jeff Hall(8) scored 5 goals, 1 was a penalty shot.

Sunday, July 9 @ 3 p.m.
Duende(17) out maneuvered Mansour(20) 18 to 13. Starting with 3 points on the board, Duende powerhouse Paco de Narvaez(9) scored 7 goals, 2 were penalty shots; Carlitos Galindo(1) shot in 2 goals; Juan Novillo Astrada(7) made 1 goal.
Mansour’s Martin Zegers(5) was outstanding as high scorer for the day with 10 goals, 5 from the penalty lines; Julian Daniels(6) made 6 goals; Adam Snow(9) made 1 goal; and Ben Soleimani(A) made 1 goal.

SUNDAY, JULY 9-16
ABOUT THE ROBERT SKENE TROPHY:Robert Skene was a legend in polo. A former 10 Goal player and Club Manager in Santa Barbara for many years, his acquired the name “Hurricane Bob” was due to his fast and precise play making. He was tirelessly committed to the Santa Barbara Polo club, the sport and was highly regarded by players of all ranks. Although his participation in the sport was interrupted by World War II when he served as a POW for three years in Malaya, he returned to his 10-goal rating and kept it for 17 years until 1967. Throughout his life he and his wife and lifelong sweetheart of more than 60 years, Elizabeth, shared many adventures and whom he credits a vital role in all of his successes. Mrs. Skene, a longtime SBPRC member, remains passionate about the sport and continues to show her support field side throughout the summer seasons. She will present the trophy to the winning teams.
