The Spring Polo season will culminate with the Countess of Dudley Cup tournament: the 12 Goal NSW Clubs Championship, held at Windsor Polo Club on 26 and 27 May. Everyone welcome, entry at the gate approx $15, or free for NSWPA Annual Members. Bring your picnic and the Clubhouse is also open.

Following the winter break, polo will recommence in the north in mid-August with our five northern clubs hosting tournaments: North Star, Tamarang, Gunnedah, Wellington and Quirindi.

Weather Report

The weather continues to plague polo. Whilst we are praying for rain in the north, west and south of the State, some weekends of polo have been cancelled in the Sydney basin and Southern Highlands due to too much.

Scone League
The very popular interclub tournament, the ‘Bob Skene League’ held by NSW’s largest club, Scone, attracted 10 teams. Congratulations to the Red Team who beat the White Team 7 – 3 1/2 in the Final.

Red Team: Richard Lavender, David Lowe, Peter Haydon, Malcolm Pursehouse
Champion Pony: Peter Haydon’s ‘Celestial’
Most Valuable Player: Richard Lavender
