Aiken, SC – USA-Aiken will face off this Friday May 30th to inaugurate the 2008 International Series of Polo II presented by Hotel Aiken and hosted by 302 Polo presented by Mercedes-Benz of Augusta. Team USA’s squad is currently under construction with two positions filled by Barb Uskup (A) and Antonio Galvan (5) with the two remaining players yet to be determined.

Meanwhile, on the other side of the ball will be Team Jamaica, which this year consistently dominated Team USA-Aiken with victories in both games played in Jamaica this past February. Rory Vernon (B), Lesley Ann Masterson Fong Yee (2), Shane Chinn (3) and Andy Vernon (4) will make up the Jamaican roster.

“The Jamaican’s are a tough team, very physical and very well organized. They are known for doing very well as visiting players in a host of other countries that includes England, Barbados and many others. We are going to have our work cut out for us!” said Tom Uskup team organizer for USA-Aiken.

This contest will be the feature game at 5 PM on Meadow Hill field #1 and will be followed by the traditional Friday Night Fiesta featuring the incredible edibles of local chef Jacqui Sutherland’s Stir the Pot.
