KRIS BOWMAN, THE TRAVELING MENTOR
The USPA has a very valuable asset in Kris Bowman. She has been a polo club manager for a number of clubs including Great Meadow Polo Club in Virginia. Great Meadow is an arena/stadium club with some outdoor fields instead of visa versa. Their arena program is so successful that it draws 2,000 spectators for their Saturday night games during the summer. The club even finishes the year with a budget surplus each year!
The experience she has had as a club manager and from visiting so many polo clubs each year makes her a valuable mentor.
Each summer Kris makes a trip to the California polo clubs to meet with management and discuss the many ways to manage and market the clubs in order to increase membership. This is a worthwhile asset that is available to all USPA clubs.
