MARK GANZI 1 GOAL.

Mark and his wife Melissa run a very big outfit called Audi Polo. Over the last 13 months they have had a huge amount of success as they filled their trophy room quite well by winning the big 3 here in California in 2008 and then a jewel called the US OPEN. Off the field Mark works hard to make his polo run well. He is a young and busy guy with many interests. He is the CEO of a company called Global Towers, a wireless network company that makes it possible to use our cell phones. He is an Ivy-league boy from Wharton, so he has done his homework. Marks Father Wally was a former player who started in California while operating a restaurant chain named the Palms, which are some of the super high-end places in a few of the World’s biggest cities. Somehow Mark avoided becoming a Chef. I know his Dad wanted him to work. So he made his own way. He loves polo and I think he really cares for the sport.

ROBERT “BOB” JORNAYVAZ 1 goal.

Bob is a true Texan from around San Antonio. He is even a Longhorn from UT, but moved to the Rockies years ago and is the CEO of a company called Intrepid Potash. I believe that has actually rose above the ashes as he is also known as the Potash King. Bob played polo for a while back in his Texas days, but then headed north to the Rockies to make his fortune. He is doing very good in his restart of Polo, much like Gonzalo A. Bob went to work and came back swinging his own stick and has a son who is already a very successful rider in the Jumping side. He plays polo so well he never lost a game all winter. His team is called Valiente and he is here in Santa Barbara for the first time and a welcome new face. We hope to see him here in polo for a long time to come.
