Jason Crowder leads the field with seven goals in the 12-7 Mt. Brilliant win in Joe Barry Memorial Cup action at the International Polo Club Friday afternoon.

A torrential downpour on the afternoon of January 7th forced the Joe Barry Memorial Cup game between Mt. Brilliant (Bo Goodman, Jason Crowder, Santiago Chavanne and Julian Daniels)and Villa del Lago (Jim Zenni, Agustin Obregon, Hilario Ulloa and Carlucho Arellano) at the International Polo Club to be postponed after opening goals from Santi Chavanne and Agustin Obregon had it all even at 1-1 at the 3:24 mark of the first chukker.  The game was resumed on Friday afternoon, January 13th with Mt. Brilliant coming out with the 12-7 win.  Jason Crowder led all scoring with seven goals for Mt. Brilliant as they build on a 6-3 halftime score to defeat Villa Del Lago, 12-7.

The win boosts Mt. Brilliant into the mini-quarters on Sunday, January 15th where they will face Postage Stamp Farm (Annabelle Gundlach, Brandon Phillips, Mariano Aguerre and Kris Kampsen).  The second mini-quarters that day will see Goose Creek (Maureen Brennan, Peke Gonzalez, Mariano Gonzalez and Tomas Garcia del Rio) battle La Indiana (Michael Bickford, Jeff Hall, Mike Azzaro and Ruki Baillieu).  The winners will go on to play Tonkawa (Jeff Hildebrand, Sapo Caset, Costi Caset and Facundo Obregon) and Grand Champions Polo Club (Grant Ganzi, Inaki Laprida, Nic Roldan and Juancito Bollini) in semifinal action.

Villa Del Lago will play Coca-Cola (Gillian Johnston, Julian de Lusarreta, Julio Arellano and Del Walton) in the consolation match for the Bobby Barry Cup on Sunday, January 22nd.
