Polo is a way of life and we in Polo know it but Adam & Shelly Snow have put it on paper as in a book . Well worth reading even if you do not know the sport you will see a lot more than you do today. The reason people like us play or played Polo is nobody knows ! The danger ,speed ,comrade and the excitement but most of all you always have a chance and it keeps us going for that super day or moment. Today was that kind of day the first game featured two Brothers, Henry and Dan Walker sons of Superman Ken Walker a Man who played to 80 and wanted to Win. Their teams Farmers and Merchants 1 and 2 came out slugging, Younger brother Henry was just as happy as could be taking a 7 goal lead into 1/2 time and late in the 4th 11-4 and then something went wrong as Big bro Dan and the other FM went absolutely crazy scoring goals like they had a line to the goal and they did from 7 behind to 3 up in 2 chukkars and a place in the finals. Well done Herndon Radcliff,Dan Walker,Lucas Criado and Joaquin Panelo.
In the final game of the day it was also a bit of a surprise as Klentner Ranch took on Lucchese and KR has been very dominant this year to date and started like it today scoring the first in 40 seconds and won chukkar 1 by 1 and the well went home and Luc went on to change the world of KR they rattled off 8 straight to lead 8 to 1 at the middle break. The end results were not changed as KR won the second 1/2 but only by 2 and could not make up the gap. So it is on and forward for Jeff Hall,Steve Kruger,Nacho Badiola and John Muse well done and see you all on Sunday .
Around the Polo World action is on in Canada everywhere from British Colombia to Toronto and East Coast is sooo busy NY,NC,Mass,RI and the midwest is smokin in Il,MI,Oh,and Kentucky . The West has Co. San Diego and Northern Ca. all moving fast and North West is moving in Oregon like Portland and Seattle as well as Spokane and Sheridan it is hard to find a place there not playing POLO.
A sad note is we lost Merle Jenkins this week one of the real Polo people not only a Player but a true believer in making the Sport of Polo better and got very little notice for it Merle funded build and made the commercial Polo Line of clothes that supports POLO USA today it was his baby and ours in the sports best Pony by far. The rest of the U.S. is into Politics and it is like Polo you never know what can happen but unlike a horse they have few traits other than like a well fed horse they are full of s— and that is a given. We hear there promises and we see the chances they are true and we know it is just what it is a story. I think the one who wins and we deserve neither but that is a given we get one. Will they reduce their ungodly wages and retirement funds and support the VETERANS who defend their sorry asses and the rest of us who enjoy Polo and life in the free WORLD when they come HOME????
