For the second consecutive year, in coordination with the International Polo Federation, Fortune Heights will be hosting the 24-goal Super Nations Cup fielding teams from Argentina, England, Hong Kong and the United States.

Argentina returns to defend its 2012 title that it claimed in a hotly-contested 9-8 win over the United States while the United States will be returning the 2012 MVP in American 8-goaler Mike Azzaro.

This year’s US entry will include Azzaro, Nic Roldan (8), Tommy Collingwood (4) and Ulysses Escapite (4) in an effort to claim the prize in the 2013 competition.

“I’m honored to have been chosen,” said Collingwood, who was finishing up a summer polo campaign in Kentucky.  “I think it’s a great team,” he added, “and can’t wait to take the field together.”

England appears poised for a serious run at the trophy as they send a team comprised of Henry Fisher (4) Luke Tomlinson (7), Mark Tomlinson (7) and Nacho Gonzalez (6), with alternate George Meyrick (5) and coached by national team coach and former national team captain Andrew Hine.

The Argentine lineup includes a couple of International Polo Club regulars in Martin Pepa (5), Marianito Obregon (7) and Michel Dorignac (7).  Martin Donovan (5) will round out the roster.  Wellington’s Juan Martin Obregon will serve as alternate and the team will be coached by former Argentine 10-goaler Daniel Gonzalez.
