Well for the last 4 months it has been Florida and The Ca. Desert and it is well? too hot to hang around for most . Florida and Indio still have Polo but it is well, very early or very late and unattended for the most part and that is why people move and their horses are Happy and why in the early part of Jan. their are 8 places to play polo and now there are 50 places from Aiken to San Francisco and soon the Canadians will move into action that’s just the way it is some are coming down from a fast winter of Polo but most are gearing up for a New year of Polo. Most of the Polo on the mainland is club polo and fun Polo while the UK takes on the headlines now then it will be Sotogrande, Deauville and Australia then it heads to South America and it is the way it is. Polo is that way for the lucky Pros they will be in Fl. come Jan. 1 some will be in Cal. a lot at home in Argentina or Australia or wherever they are from working to be their next year. The summer is fun for most new people new ideas and new places it makes it happen and it is the biggest part of Polo . Everyone wants to see the big stuff in Indio and Palm Beach but it is for a day the weekends of parties and social functions really come in the summer where people really come to the game for whatever reason it is usually more personable they know someone or someone who know someone who plays that is what makes the game, these are the people who make it what it is . The Cowboy from Sheridan the banker from Boston the Fisherman from Portland the Hedge Fund manager from Long Island all on a simple thing called Grass and an Animal called a Horse and it is fun and simply one of the most expensive , dangerous sports known to man and probably as often said the fastest team sport their is. So why not PLAY IT! You can own a Racehorse a race car a race boat a Football team a baseball team or even Spaceship but you cannot drive it play on it or drive it but in Polo you are on the Team and that is the way it is you are one of 4 and if you do not perform they will blame it on you . Where else can you really be on the team and just not the Sponsor ? You do not have to be the star but you will feel likr one when you win or lose because you played the game and you DID ITTTTTTTTT.
