As for Polo the Margarita League started in San Diego and The Lisle Nixon in Santa Barbara. In the Lisle Nixon Pops (Joel Ladin) took out the Lawyer son (Matt Ladin) and rewrote the rules and explained how Rule 18 is still the most important rule in Polo and it is in the book.
Action continues in both venues today and the S–t Kickers are raising the bar in Indio, CA with Willie Nelson, Alan Jackson and George Strait at the Stagecoach Concert. They have lots of new-style covered wagons called Campers all over the Polo grounds in the Desert. The polo fields are the the smoothest they have been in a long time now. If they add water and fertlizer who knows, it could be the place to be come Fall.
