After a two-day rest, the Tortugas Open Championship La Dolfina polo team (Adolfo Cambiaso, David Stirling, Pablo MacDonough and Juan Martin Nero) will be back at it in the second leg of Argentina’s Triple Crown of Polo with the start of the Hurlingham Open on Wednesday, October 19th.  The opening match of the tournament will take place on the Argentine Polo Association grounds in Pilar and will feature La Dolfina and Cria Yatay (Lucas James, Magoo Laprida, Joaquin Pittaluga and Inaki Laprida) in a 2pm contest.

A second game will follow with La Aguada-Las Monjitas (Alejandro Novillo Astrada, Eduardo. Novillo Astrada, Miguel Novillo Astrada and Ignacio Novillo Astrada) facing El Paraiso (Agustin Merlos, Ignacio Toccalino, Ignacio Heguy and Santiago Toccalino).  Eduardo Novillo Astrada suffered an injury in practice and will be replaced in the La Aguada-Las Monjitas lineup by 7-goaler Francisco Elizalde.

The tournament will be comprised of eight teams handicapped from 29 to 40 goals.  The teams have been separated into two brackets of four teams each.  Bracket A consists of La Dolfina (40), El Paraiso (35), La Aguada-Las Monjitas (33) and Cria Yatay (30). Bracket B is composed of Ellerstina (Facundo Pieres, Gonzalo Pieres, Polito Pieres and Nico Pieres), Alegría (Guillermo Caset, Hilario Ulloa, Lucas Monteverde and Fred Mannix), Washington (Diego Cavanagh, Tomas Garcia Del Rio, Facundo Sola and Alfredo Cappella) and La Irenita (Juan Ruiz Guiñazu, Juan M. Zavaleta, Matías MacDonough and Clemente Zavaleta).  Ellerstina is rated at 39-goals; Alegria at 37, Washington is 33-goals and La Irenita carries the lowest team handicap of the event at 29-goals.

The winner of each bracket will face one another in the final on Saturday, November 5th.
