Piocho Ranch has a lot of T’s in its fold. Tom Barrack is the boss and thats something we all know, but if Tom is gone now there is TJ to fix it . TJ did fix it today! TJ Barrack is the champ and Tom Barrack helped get them there. Anyway you look at it Piocho Ranch is the 2007 champs of the 2007 America’s Cup.

It was a more or less sunny Sunday afternoon in Carpinteria, CA at the Santa Barbara Polo Club/ It was a wake up call as Piocho and Grant’s Farm/ERG hit the field. The crowd was decent and the polo was GREAT. Grant’s Farm started fast and tied the handicap goal in 20 seconds, but in 35 seconds Piocho said whoa and added one. The game remained close for the first 3 chukkers and finished at 1/2 time by one. The 4th was great. It was Piocho Ranch jumping in early and the Iceman returning the favor. At one point it was 8 to 8 in the 4th, but in came Memo Gracida and Julio who was killing the goal earlier with awesome shots. The Redhead (Kris Kampsen) was doing his damage setting the play and constant in the form of pain in the a_ _. The fourth chukker endedt 9 to 8 with Piocho Ranch in front. Next Memo took control and the 5th was all Piocho Ranch as they won the chukkar 3 to 1 to go up by 4. Grant’s Farm had not said goodbye yet, as they looked for the 6th as a win and roared back with 3 quick goals with still 3 + on the clock. Andy Busch made a break with the ball then lost it just before goal to tie it. Memo on a bald-faced mare caught it on the run and for 250 its all his and he gets caught in the mouth of the goal. TJ was hauling you know what was next and lays it in to goal and crashed into the goal post in the process. It was all over for Grant’s Farm/ERG with the clock ticking down and Piocho Ranch in control it was adios amigos.

Piocho Ranch is the 2007 Champs of the America’s Cup. It was a very good game from start to finish. Piocho had the finish. TJ, a rookie sort of, was injured a few years ago. He was meant to play and injured his hand saving a dog from a burning car. TJ was injured and unable to compete that season, but today the only fire was his run to goal. He played very well as did all of the Piocho Ranch squad.

Our hats are off to . . .

TJ Barrack
Kris Kampsen
Memo Gracida
Julio Gracida

Next Sunday starts the Pacific Coast Open (PCO) and it should be fun. There are only 4 teams, but it will be a WAR for sure.

My side of the game is:

MVP Kris Kampsen
BPP Memos 5th chukker horse. It may not be easy, but it is so quick and fast
helping make the best play of the game in the 5th chukkar. KI to goal with an old-fellow named Memo Gracida.

We have 2 of the Young Gun superstars here in the form of Gonzalito Pieres and Nick Roldan, but we have the ONLY SENIOR SUPERSTAR Memo Gracida, but he will not win the PCO this year I guarantee it.”

A super BBQ was put on by the Audi team. Mark and Melissia Ganzi of Audi are the best thing to happen here, so we hope there is more to come. Thanks Audi and M & M. See ya.
