It was a blast from the past as the finals of the Vic Graber was played today in decent, but not awesome weather. It is June and Windsor Capital and Piocho Ranch had a dandy game today. It was Piocho up early then the teams were tied 5 times from the 3rd to the 5th chukker. The amazing thing about this finals was the attitude. Everyone seemed to have fun even though there were lot of fouls, which were or were not in some cases, but they were called. During the game there were so many kind acts between players and after the game there were all 8 players sitting together having a drink or just having fun. This is why Polo was the sport of Kings because it was Royal from top to bottom. It is a game. TODAY was a show of that and guess what? All 8 players were AMERICANS so maybe thats the answer. Maybe not, but 1/2 the problems always seem to be whiners from well somewhere else. All but 1 person on the field was under the age 40 and he was also the only one over 30, so its not the young guys either. We had a couple of new guns on Windsor Capital. James Uihlien of Sarasota filled in as the third “J” today and Brian Boyd showed no fear in taking the Governor’s (Pat Nesbit’s) spot as he is in Europe for a while. Polo can be like most things in the unfunded sports world . . . FUN! Its just that it often is not , WHY? This game was close most of the time. The triple J’s were dominant and the new “J” (James Uihlien 2) is as tough as Pop without the Pop, even on Father’s Day. This in Polo will make the sport work and be popular so here is another answer. Maybe Gringos can play polo and maybe you should look next door first.

Down south it was Silent Chris Maloney smoking the Pretty Lady as in Lisa Bosstick in the finals of the Chris Hoyman finals. The Tri Tech squad is booking the Bronze as we speak. There was a good crowd to see the action so the party is on.

Across the Pond in England it was Elerstina another team of Young guns winning the Queen’s Cup in the 20-goal , Gonzalito Pieres is on that team, just another part of SB, and Pablo McDonough, who is still subbing for Facundo Pieres. Pablo had to do double time as his team the Broncos, won the subsidaryand then he took on the Ellerston spot with Mr. Packer.

We are also looking for a 1/2 a team or a Patron to take over 1/2 of the Madison Square/Atlant team as Bolko is gone for a while. So do not hesitate to call if you are interested call Scott @ 858 481 9217 . They have already made it to 1 finalsm so it could be a good team. You know it will be a good time in Del Mar guaranteed! There are two tournament games a week, so thats 4 games plus plenty of practice chukkers. See ya @ Polo.
