ChukkerTV, worldwide leaders in polo broadcasting, will live stream the Dec. 17-19 St. Regis World Snow Polo Championship in Aspen, CO.

It is the first time the much-anticipated tournament will be live streamed in its entirety and exclusively by ChukkerTV.

“We are extremely excited to be live streaming snow polo this year,” said ChukkerTV executive producer Michael Ferreira. “Last year we helped produce the broadcast with NBC, but it wasn’t live.”

ChukkerTV, an independent media company based in Wellington, Fla. will capture the glitz, glamour and excitement of the three-day tournament. Entertaining polo announcers Toby Wayman and Dale Schwetz will provide play-by-play, colorful commentary and interviews.

ChukkerTV was the first to introduce state-of-the-art live streaming technology in January, 2014 at Grand Champions Polo Club, where it was well-received for its cutting-edge technology and ability to promote the sport to a larger audience.

ChukkerTV has also played a huge role in helping to improve the game by supplying instant replay technology, team challenges and reviews. It continues to build and improve its technology platforms.

ChukkerTV has compiled an impressive resume over two years live streaming polo games that have been viewed around the world on its interactive website.

ChukkerTV live streamed every game of the 2015 high goal polo season at International Polo Club Palm Beach in Wellington; USPA East Coast Open in Greenwich, Conn.; Hawaii Polo Life 2015 Polo Soiree, the premier social event of Hawaii; winter, spring and fall seasons at Grand Champions Polo Club; summer season at Aspen Valley Polo Club and concluded a successful second Summer Tour across the nation.

ChukkerTV was also the first to bring live and On-Demand polo into living rooms around the world helping to expand the sport’s exposure.

“This is a great way to end an eventful year of polo for our company,” Ferreira said. “It seems like with every passing year this event gets bigger and bigger.

“This year we want to give our viewers the experience they deserve. It’s a fun, exciting, energetic event with an awesome backdrop. I think our viewers will love it as much as the players, sponsors and we do.”

For the third consecutive year, Melissa and Marc Ganzi, co-founders of Aspen Valley Polo Club, along with polo ambassador and St. Regis Connoisseur Nacho Figueras, will host the final stop on the World Polo Tour.

Audi, Flexjet and US Polo Assn., One Caribbean Estates and Barbados Tourism Marketing Inc. join St. Regis Hotels & Resorts as major sponsors of North America’s only snow polo tournament.

First round games are Dec. 17, Thursday at 11:30 a.m. MST at Aspen Valley Polo Club Arena in Carbondale. On Dec. 18, Friday and Dec. 19, Saturday, the action moves to Rio Grande Park near downtown Aspen.
