We had sunshine today, Sat. Jan, 20th, but the mercury never passed 65 F. But hey you needed sunscreen and a jacket for most of the day and the rest a heater and mittens, but hey we had polo all day. The Juniors started it with Pee Wee Polo at 9 am. At 10 a.m. it was Empire going down to Double Eagles. Parklane ran into a roadblock by the name of Generation Motors with CEO Mr. Smooth (Curt Hughes) and Co. A very entertaining game as twin brothers (Obregon Twins) tried to prove who’s best and one was and he played for Generation Motors. They head to the big one next weekend. It was the super B’s (Bilo Zarif and Bolko Kissling of Summerland/Casa Sombres) losing to Big Mac aka Fred Mannix, Sr. (Fish Creek Hawks) in a no gainer as Julian Mannix, the Mini Mac, scored 4 or 5 goals to beat the super B’s. Fish Creek Hawks head to a full swing into Casa Blanca to see who heads the Bronze list next Sunday. It was Ore/Pac with a Moon (Christian Moon) getting by True Choice for a win. JHHE continued their streak vs. Kentfield the wrong way. Super Lady J. (Jenny Luttrell) and Cotterell Farms just did lose to PoloBARN by a hair. It was a fired up Tony G. leading the Wolfman (Ashton Wolf) and the pack past Rancho Santa Fe for a trip to the Bronze round. This one I am not sure about . . . it was Fish Creek 2, I think, over JV Ranch. I could be dead wrong, but this will not be the first time.

As expected the cocktail party on Satuday night at the Clubhouse was poorly attended by players. It was unexpected as they had excellent service and great appetizers. Too bad no one believes in it, but people find it hard to expect the best when we cannot put toilets up for spectators. Maybe the theory shoud be if we are not going to sell the Club land, maybe we should should sell our service. We know it will warm up sometime soon, so make it a place to bring the family for a GOOD TIME. Polo is a great world to be a part of. Sunday is a day of POLO, POLO, and POLO. Its like this . . .
