LA Herradura WINS THE PCO WOMEN’S OPEN . Over the last 3 days we have had 4 Ladies Teams here, not quite the same as last year when we had Ladies from all over the world due from the Covid situation.
We did get to see some awesome talent anyway as some very strong pay from Herudura’s Izzy Parson and Dayle Fargy proved to be just a little to much for the rest. LH stopped Dundas Polo on Friday by a whisker as Dundas had a weak 3rd chukkar and were unable to recover as Saraha and Hope just about tied it up at the final bell. Polo gear and Dawn Jones ran into a buzz saw from Timming as Mia Astrada shredded them with great passes and very smart play .
on to Sunday in the consos it was Dundas taking on Polo gear Coffee and Hope Arellano mad her parents proud as she smoked thru to win MVP and the conso trophy .
The finals was a pretty good game not helped by the only Men on the field the Refs after 3 calls in the first 1/2 and a scolding by Dawn Jones it got a little better in 2nd 1/2 this seems to be an ongoing problem a lot of bitching all summer and the players are paying for it . We do miss the leadership passed on by Sunny Hale and I think it’s time to stop all this horse changing and get down to playing Polo and using the teams and improving Patrons by making them better players and this will happen if ever player has 6 or 7 horses per game and they have to pass the ball and guess what will cut the cost by at least 35 % . just my opinion
