Here is the latest news on the Lechuza horse tragedy. It looks like a local pharmacy filled the prescription and made an error in the process.
“A Florida pharmacy has told The Associated Press it incorrectly prepared a medication for 21 polo horses that died.”
“Lechuza also issued a statement to AP acknowledging that a Florida veterinarian wrote the prescription for the pharmacy to create a compound similar to Biodyl, . . ”
Medicine is for sick animals..were all 21 horses afflicted with a disease or sickness? Still wondering what was in the “medicine.” Vitamins injected into humans just before a heavy workout do not enhance performance. Taken over long periods of time, it is still unverified, although I do think it helps our general health. Why would it be different in these horses? Just asking…
