On Saturday, Dec. 27th ’08 at 12:30 Pacific Time during the Champs Bowl in Orlando, FL. a Seminole Chief Osceola (aka polo player Chris Gannon) mounted on a crazy Appaloosa horse will fly down the field with a flaming spear hit the Badger of Wisconsin to declare war in the big game on Sat. Dec.27,2008. Chris Gannon is the son of “Wild Man” Tim Gannon of the famous Outback Polo team. Chris is in his final year of college and says if anybody feels like they can be the chief there is a good chance of a free ride scholarship and one of the best schools in the USA.

It is quite a sight to see and knowing horses I bet there are not many people willing to ride a horse, an Appy to boot, in front of 90,000 screaming people and do it bareback. See it if you can. Its great. Hats off to Chris Gannon, a college education and a very tough thing to do.

Around the Polo world things are NOT speeding along, but they are going in Costa Careyes, Mexico. Careyes is the “paradise of polo.” They are about to start the Christmas Tournament. In Florida there is a holiday cup and Indio hopefully the same.

Polo needs a lot of help this year. Try if you can, to play somewhere. We hope the Clubs will do their part to make it happen and from what I’ve heard many are. Polo is a small world, but it’s our world, so lets just DO IT!

See ya.
