There were no upsets in the Pope Challenge but it was not until the last chukkar and then some before anyone knew it in the first big semis it was Highwood and Captain Ron scaring the hell out of Silent Chris Twin Palms down to the last 1/2 of the last chukkar before anyone knew who would be playing at 3 on Sunday but in the end it was Twin Palms headed there. In Game 2 it was lookout for the Young Guns and we got a new Monster on the block and he lives right behind the Polo club young Jake Klentner is no longer idling along he took the bull and ran hard bumped harder and made it a game with Jessie and Martin powering behind him they scared the you know what out of Antelope easily the favorite in this one but until the last 3 minutes of chukkar 6 you did not know and with maybe 2 more horses and at least one to hit a penalty shot with, it would have been a different story this was a very good game and 25 goals were scored so it will go down in history as just another Friday but most people missed a wonderful day of Polo for sure . Met the new Manager at SBP&R club and I think we may have some direction in the future . Welcome aboard David .
Across the pond it was AC and Dubai over Zacara and Big Ben is still looking for the first + in the Queens Cup and today the King Power tries to stay undefeated with 2 mega 10’s Piere’s Brothers lead that one . The Finals could be a good one in SB as the Weather is supposed to be in mid 70’s and no rain . Just a perfect place to play POLO. Come on out TEXANS
