If you thought that the 20-goal competition in Florida ended with the completion of the Phillip Iglehart Cup, take another look.
The Port Mayaca Polo club and Grand Champions Polo Club have coordinated their efforts in hosting the USPA North American Cup (16-20 goals) and the $25,000 Masters Series (16-20 goals).
As the Philip Iglehart Cup wraps up the 20-goal season at the International Polo Club, the USPA North American Cup will begin play on February 20. On the tail end of that, Port Mayaca and Grand Champions will present the $25,000 Masters Series, March 12-April 4.
There are a great number of players and teams who are happy with the 20-goal format,” said veteran 5-goaler Brandon Phillips, “and we feel comfortable that the North American Cup and the $25,000 Masters Series will continue to grow.”
Under the stewardship of both Port Mayaca and Grand Champions, both clubs will field tournament matches at their respective facilities. Grand Champions calls two of Wellington’s top fields home while Port Mayaca boasts five championship caliber fields in western Martin County home.
