We are still having fantastic weather while much of our country is buried under snow.  The thaw will come soon and so will our much warmer temperatures.  We are enjoying exciting polo games, golf, tennis and over at the horse show horses are jumping high! There are also numerous festivals from art to culinary and so much more. The Coachella Valley is a great place to invest or make your permanent home.  If you are wanting to sell or upgrade to a larger home here are  a few tips to add to your spring cleaning repertoire or some ideas to brighten your home stand out to buyers.

Put color where it counts.  In an other wise neutral room add a splash of color.  Add a bright throw rug, flowers or a couple of throw pillows.  This will make a room pop!

Lux the lighting. Since there are few custom homes in the valley many of you may be competing against a similar item when you go to sell.  That is your home looks much like your neighbors.  How can we stand out?  One idea is to have upgraded lighting. Get rid  of anything fluorescent, boring ceiling fans must go.  Instead install a pretty fan and statement lighting throughout your home.  Add a touch of taste in an otherwise homogenous setting.

Turn up the Tech. Add built in USB wall charters. Add a toucheless motion sensor faucet in your kitchen ,bath or both, etc. etc.

Go monochromatic to create space.  If you are trying to sell a small home or condo, less is more.  Lots of wall color and other color can make  a space seem smaller than it is.  Open the room up with one color and preferably a light color.  De clutter the area as well.

Last but certainly not least. If you are interested in selling make sure your price is right.  Many real estate agents will agree with a seller on a high price just to get your business and the listing.  In the long run this is detrimental to both parties.  If you over price chances are you will need a great deal of patience. If you really want to sell listen to a trusted and honest real estate agent on pricing.
