For the second consecutive year Piaget partnered with polo’s Nacho Figueras, Joe and Diana DiMenna to host the Piaget Hamptons Cup benefitting the Robin Hood Foundation, one of New York’s most respected charitable organizations.

A 22-goal exhibition match exhibition match between St. Regis Hotel & Resorts team (Joe DiMenna, Nacho Figueras, Mariano Aguerre and Mariano Gonzalez) and Credit Suisse team Alainn Bailey, Francisco Ayala, Magoo Laprida and Juan Martin Nero) resulted in a 9-8 win for St. Regis.

Mariano Gonzalez was the high scorer on the day with four goals for St. Regis.  Mariano Aguerre added three goals and Nacho Figueras-playing in his first game since suffering a broken hip—scored twice.  Credit Suisse’s Alainn Bailey scored three times and was named game MVP.  Ten-goaler Juan Martin Mariano Aguerre’s mare, Patilla, was named Best Playing Pony.

In a celebrity-studded event that included Donna Karan, Gabby Karan DeFelice and husband Gianpaolo DeFelice, celebrity chef Eric Ripert, Kelly Klein, Olivia Chantecaille and Jean Shafiroff, more than $500,000 was raised for the Robin Hood Foundation

For Piaget, the icing on the cake was a life-size polished steel polo pony and rider wiled with hundreds of fragrant, pink Yves Piaget Roses displayed in a special “Piaget Polo Lounge” where the latest timepieces and Piaget Rose jewelry was on display.

A traditional Argentine-style asado ( barbeque) and a breathtaking sunset put an end to an exciting day of polo.
