Sara Ferguson, the Duchess of York, will be arriving at The Villages to make the celebrated Camacho Cup a truly royal occasion.  Appearing to cheer on friend and business associate Carlos Gracida, her presence will be a welcome one for The Villages Polo Club.  No stranger to polo and the equestrian world, Sarah is an avid equestrian and accomplished competitive rider.  She comes by her passion for polo honestly.  Her father, the late Major Ronald Ferguson was polo manager to the Prince of Wales for 21 years and in her youth she spent a great deal of time at matches and clubs.

The Duchess of York is a sought after motivational speaker and the author of several books, but it is her philanthropic work that best defines Sarah. She heads Chances for Children and Children in Crisis, two charitable organizations dedicated to the welfare of children.  Her tireless efforts on behalf of children are indicative of her dedication, discipline, and the willingness to work through obstacles to achieve results.

But for the weekend, Sarah Ferguson, the Duchess of York will be the guest of The Villages Polo Club and Gracida International for the international polo competition, the Camacho Cup.
