John Rooney missed the last finals skiing in Canada and his Northern Blizzard team rode right on by Cotterel in that one.  Antelope,  I am sure wished he would have stayed in Canada for this finals as he led his Northern Blizzard through an early storm and then froze the Antelope squad and then iced them.  John was MVP and there was no doubt about it.  He scored 7 goals of the 11 and 100 % from the penalty line as well. It was a much better game than the last Avalanche as Geoff Palmer and Antelope led the first two chukkars and were finally tied in the 3rd. With John’s sharp shooting in the 4th he turned it into a Blizzard as they galloped away to a 3-goal lead and then just kept the flow. They finished up by 3 to win their 3rd cup this season.

The grass was a little long and slowed the game some, which does not help the Blizzard as they are a speed team.  JR had no problem adjusting. Well done to John MVP and Joe Henderson, who is playing very well for 5 decades of polo.  Jason Crowder and young Herndon Radcliff together make with Joe and John make a gold mine as a teammates. Always working!  He might even be better than Uncle George, but his groom is not Noreen.

It was Cotterel Farms and the Colorado Cowgirl winning the 6-goal for a complete Jan. Schedule as they again poured it on Hanaeli Bay to take the Bronze.

Al Hagaan as usual at Empire had the most unbelievable party Sat. night with super food and cooked by Haystation CEO Carlos Cremaschi. They also had a record crowd on Sunday at polo.

Down  South, Remy Muller continues to shine as they are undefeated this season with Orchard Hill.  Fred Mannix is still a big muscle on Audi and going very well in the Ylvisacker, which is the biggest 20-goal tournament in the Country. The Tournament is  named after the man who made Palm Beach the polo place of the winter worldwide.

Polo is on the move and you can bet Santa Barbara and the West Coast is going to be the place to be this Summer. Make your plans to be here and if you need a team, a house or a horse, just let us know.

See ya in the Desert … it is the best place to be in the Winter Bar None.
