From down south in Gatorland its time for the final 8 teams to battle it out for the 4 semi final spots. Come Sunday night there will be only 4 teams left. That’s the way it is in the U.S. Open. No more fixed games and no more gallops around the field. Its now or never in this years ’07 and it all starts today at 3 P.M. White Birch, who knows their way to Victory Lane , is taking on the Little Mac’s redone Millarville, who have stayed alive thus far under all fire. This will be an upset if they continue on this trip. The second game favors the young and restless vs. the Fine Wines of aged players. A team with the oldest player being maybe 24, but a pair of 9’s with overdrive vs. the 30 + gang of some very good players including Merlos Brothers and a couple of fire-eating companions named Blake and Vargas. This team will not go down without a fight, so tighten your belt and get ready to rumble. Sunday it is a little earlier start as defending champs Las Monjitas takes on the Adolfo Cambiaso powered Crab Orchard at high noon. This will be a battle! There is no doubt. These teams are a rare mixture of age and youth with a very good future ahead, but one will stay behind and they will be unhappy about it.

From the hills of West Texas comes Tommy Lee Jones and his San Saba team. They run into the Calvary of Steve Van Andell in the form of Orchard Hill, where its not easy to pick fruit. They do have some speed demons including Hector “Detector” Galindo and young gun Jeff Hall. So if you are looking for speed and action don’t go one foot farther its right here in a super setting at International Polo Club, USA. See ya.
