Snow covered mountains make a perfect backdrop for finals day!

The final day of January is going to be a long day for a little Lady Named Dawn Jones and might be a longer one for her husband Tommy as he has to sit and watch with a recent back surgery.  All he can do is advise and we all know how women listen.

As the 1st month of a new decade ends with a full moon and a bright day ahead, we will be looking at four finals today. At 10 a.m. Lady Dawn will start with San Saba taking on World Gym. I think World Gym is in by default as Elordado Polo Club had set Dempsey Mork’s team down for some reason, which is too bad as Dempsey is retiring after this month, which brings an end to many championship teams over the last 10 years here at Eldorado. This should be a speedy one and fun to see.

Next door will be the 6-chukker final of the 4-Goal and it has a new leader named Pat Powell out of the the Canadian Rockies.  When not tracking Grizzlies he raced Chuck Wagons so as you can see he likes speed and adventure. Pat has another Canook named Kyle Fargy leading his charge and Ashton Wolf and Eric Hammod make up Kentfield, who is lead by Reggie White and another Canadian leads the other side with Misty and he has Alvaro and Lawman 2 Jake Devane so likley to see a few bumps in this one.

At high noon, an all rested up Lady Dawn, Luis and the rest of San Saba head to the next one as they hit the main field in a showdown with Casa Blanca in the 8-goal final that will be a thriller. Ronai White of CasaBlanca likes those Bronzes too and they will bring their best cavaios to the field.

The final game of the day will be the Finals of the 12-goal where a upset minded Eldorado and Miss Melia take on Scott Woods and the ERG squad in what could be a free for all as the charge for the Roenish Bronzes goes.

Stop in and see whats up and enjoy a day of Polo with temps in the 70’s and see the snow covered mountains just an hour away. Congratulations to the teams in the finals and especially to the new teams in town welcome and thanks to Tommy and Dawn Jones, Scott Woods , Pat Powell and any other new faces in the village

See ya.
