Tiffany & Co., jeweler and silversmith of the world’s most revered symbols of athletic achievement and Title sponsor of The Foundation Polo Challenge, has designed The Foundation Polo Challenge Trophy. The trophy was presented by The Duchess of Cambridge to the winners of The Foundation Polo Challenge.

The Foundation Polo Challenge benefits the American Friends of the Foundation of Prince William and Prince Harry. Prince William participated in the challenge on July 9th, 2011 at Santa Barbara Polo Club.

The Foundation Polo Challenge Trophy that The Duchess presented was created at Tiffany’s silver workshop. Handcrafted of sterling silver and 18 karat gold vermeil, the trophy weighs 14.7 pounds and stands 18 inches tall. Decorative bands feature horseshoe motifs entwined with laurel that were originally designed by Eugene Soligny in 1876 for the National Cup for Stallions. The handles are cast, with applied polo pony details.

The Santa Barbara Polo & Racquet Club is hosted The Foundation Polo Challenge in celebration of its 100th anniversary.
