It was a hard-riding, double tough trio of young lads from a little school in Santa Barbara called Mestmount. They took on the big schools and are going to the Intercollegiate Men’s Finals in Lexington, KY. A big move it was as they are on their road to the Finals. Westmount beat Cornell who is a huge power in College Polo. Westmount had a dandy game against the super stars of the University of Virginia and they had a bad chukker to Texas A&M to lose the finals of the big one. It is a big jump from the small house of Westmount to the big ones across the country. They made their mark. Our hats off to Ron Prather, Collin White and Alexander Bueno and their coach John Westley. Well done WESTMONT!                                                                                                                Its a big day in the US Open on Sunday as everyone tries to get over the loss of Skeeter Johnston as a tripleheader is scheduled as Skeeter’s team tries to shake off there loss and play defending champs :as Monjitas at 10 am and then its Skeeter’s sister in a huge position trying to play and taking on a flying Steve Van Andells team called Orchard Hill they were the other finalist last year and the its Little Mac and his rebuilt team trying to go to the quarters with a win over Tommy Lee Jones and his San Saba crew the loser in this one is out of the open the others all have one more shot at the big silver . Some new superstars are on the horizion here its a herd of Young Guns called Jedi really getting peoples attention They are Patron young Fred Koch and even younger Magoo Laprida and Juan martin Nero and the old man I think is 24 year old Pablo McDonough another bullit out of the area is young David Sterling from Spain there are some 10’s in this bunch I guarantee . With only 2 teams out and one more for sure tommorrow its looking good BlackWatch and Catamount are only teams eliminated from 07 open so far . So come on over and see these ponies run and if your out west stop by and see David Flowers he is preparing for the 08 open in the Desert.
