Wine Country Polo Club to Host Tournament to Benefit Rehabilitation Facilities for Veterans of the Iraq and Afghanistan Conflicts.

Wounded veterans returning from combat in Iraq and Afghanistan face many obstacles in their recovery and return to civilian and family life.  The Wine Country Polo Club and sponsors from the San Francisco Bay area have teamed up to present a major fund raiser for Northern California organizations that help vets transition to daily life. Christopher Barnes, polo player and organizer of the event, notes that “the response of the public to our cause has so far been phenomenal, and we’re still in the early phases.”

In addition to two six-goal polo match-ups, spectators will enjoy wine and food tasting by gourmet chefs, a carriage driving display, a champagne divot stomp courtesy of Chandon, a silent auction, and some fun activities for the kids.

Players and attendees will gather for this exciting day on Sunday the 20th of June at the beautiful Trione Polo Field, Santa Rosa, the home of the Wine Country Polo Club.
