From the Zaca fire, the biggest in CA, to the burning speed of Zacara in the P.C.O. to the blazing saddles of the Rancho Valencia Cup at the San Diego Polo Club its all heat. Driving into San Diego polo feels like Palm Beach at the Open. Camps everywhere, horses, grooms, feed and the smell. Its like wow. We are back in Polo. This is what we are here for. Fourteen teams look for the big one for the next 5 weeks. It all starts tomorrow, Friday the 31st, the last day of August. There are teams from as far away as Hawaii and as close as Del Mar. They all have one thing in common, no one has won or lost yet. The 14- goal league, which is played on Fridays and Sundays is limited to 6 teams. Its been a flood as people from Wyoming, Oregon, Canada Tennessee, New York and Florida head OR,Canada,Tn,NY,FL and even Wisconsin are here to have a very good time in the best in West in Sept. For the next 5 weeks there will be 35 parties, 100 polo games, 80 grooms, 56 players,1000 people around and add probably 80 thousand spectators and your bound to have fun and its simple. Its called “PARTY TIME” San Diego-style.
