Around and around we go.

Circles! When you think about it, that’s our lives today, just a lot of circles. We never straighten out and really go nowhere. It starts at the top levels of our government.

It seems, since I can remember, that we have been involved in some war, somewhere, gaining very little or nothing at all. After Desert Storm we all felt proud that the United States won the war, but I am not sure what we gained.

We have never controlled illegal immigration. The first World Trade Center bombing, 911, many other foiled terrorist attacks, health care, and a host of other problems is the testament to the disarray of our boarder security.

We have a number of elected officials, who are purportedly the great saviors, but they have fixed very little. Nevertheless, the Vice President is very smart, he is not really a politician; he is the head of the Mafia or something, but not a politician. As evinced by his comments two weeks ago when he indicated that he was not part of Executive Branch.

Like a stable fire with horses, if you open the doors during a fire the horses run out, but they come right back because they think they are safe in the barn. Unfortunately, they are killing themselves. If you lead the horses out and tie them away from the fire, they might be saved, because they were led out of danger. Not like our present leaders who tend to lead us into the fire.

Traffic is still a growing problem everywhere and I am sure it could be cured with a simple tool called drivers education. Teachers first need to understand English and not drive like the English – on the left side of the road. They need to learn to pass on the left and drive on the right. This simple plan could probably improve up to 150 cars per lane on any major freeway per 10 minutes.

Mass transportation is the worst in the West. Our goal is to pave the west not preserve it. Wider roads will cure nothing. If you want cure the jam, take one lane out of freeway and build a high-speed rail service.

Any change in the West is difficult with the so-called environmentalist. In reality, they should be on trial for the very thing they say they protect. Environmentalists are trying to preserve the forest and canyons, but their only accomplishment is the advancement of a death trap for the very thing they are protecting.

I recently read: 100 years ago 2 out of 10 Americans could not read or write. The same statistic is applies today. I am not sure, but it may be worse out here.

What’s this have to do with anything? Well, we need to educate people for whatever endeavor they are participating. Most likely, if it does not pay a high wage, they will remain uneducated, such as our police and teachers. In the present educational system, they cut the salaries of the educators, jam more students into already over-crowded classrooms and wonder why the U.S. turns out more uneducated people with lower test scores then most other industrialized nations? However, we raise the wages of the politicians, increase their perks and add to the entitlements. Instead of education, the politicians would rather spend money to build roads, probably with the hope it will be named after them.

Spend money on education! Doesn’t seem like the political powers feel this is a worthy cause. If they knew anything, the politicians would not have a job. Too many people have been uneducated for to long and this allows the rich and strong to prosper while making the rest just happy to get by. And that’s all the rest can do, just get by.

Like Polo, we have made our sport so weak with 0 goal and 2 goal that the sport has become just a way to ride a horse and dress up. No one bothers to really learn the game. It’s just a social gathering. There is no reason to get better if it is the norm for no one to have the ability to hit the ball.

No one else is getting better, and if they do excel and improve they are the outcast because they are deemed dangerous to the pedestrian just riding around on the field.

Again, this problem can be solved with education. We have instructors teaching polo to smart people who know how to work the system and soon we will have just a bunch of weak players who are learning nothing, abusing horses and grooms, mostly because they do not know anything about horses or polo. This is a problem being brought up quite a lot these days and it is a very sad and ugly fact . I think a simple bit of effort could change this , ever club has at least one vet who would help I am sure if all the Owners would take a couple of hours and tour their and neighbors stables as a group they would see what needs to be done . I do not think most it is malicious I just think it is back to the same uneducated. Patrons and Owners want to cut cost that’s fine but usually this is done by getting a new cheaper staff and then it becomes a problem yes they find a cheaper groom or worker but you get what you pay for an uneducated inexperienced groom who sees no problems and has not a clue he is just working. Who Pays first and worst the Animals they get hurt or unhealthy then it is the owner he has no horse to play so he gets a Vet and that cost him then has to get another horse that cost him or gets hurt with the wrong tack that cost him or her and in the end it cost much more + you probably ruined an Animal and that is BAD.
We know most Owners are fairly smart people or they could not afford to Play Polo so you know when these things happen it may be you who is being uneducated , take the time to learn and I am sure someone can help you quick if you ask .

see ya
