As of today its just 2 and they are Hanalei Bay and Tritech and one of these two teams will be the champions of the 2007 Spreckles Cup come Sunday afternoon. It was Hidden Creek and Hanalei Bay on Friday. For 3 chukkars it was a tie, but the 1/2 must have been too much for Hidden Creek as Hanalei Bay just poured it on and it was Hidden Creek being buried as they rolled it up to a double for a little while. That made the next game a practice game and Wild Bill Freeman (Corleone/Southwind) and Chris Collins out-scored Pretty Lady Lisa Bosstick (Madison Square) and finished up by 1.
In the third game which now is very important. Silent Chris Maloney of Tritech was on and Ms. Figi’s boys of Gypsy were not. After an early tie it was slow death as Silent Chris with a fired-up Alvaro Tadeo, who seems to be on fire and these horses used to be played by Jolly George Daou, smoked on by the Gypsy camp. Tritech now heads to the finals with Hanalei Bay. It will be a good one. I hope there will be a fine for whining. If that were ever enforce the Club would be in the black for the day within 5 minutes.
The 6-goal is on to the semis Saturday where there will be some good connections to the final two. You have Marcus and Millichap with their young ones taking on the Wolfman (Ashton Wolf) and Dudley’s Casa Blanca. It should be a barn burner. Its 85 (age of all players on the team) vs. more or less 140. Thats not speed , just the teams total age. In the other semi you have OC POLO or Orange County with super stud from the Latin world Ricci (Rick Paicius) vs. Mrs. Ellie (Ellen Greenhill) or Monte Verde. So its prim and proper vs. cool Dudes it could be OK. Just be there as we all will be.
See ya.
