Welcome Players!
With all the rain and cold temperatures behind us, it’s time to start
planning and thinking about those warm summer months ahead. This year marks
our 25th season of the San Diego Polo Club, and we invite you to come and
enjoy another memorable season in beautiful San Diego. We will be entering
into negotiations with the City of San Diego (who owns our property) soon,
so we can all look forward to another 25 years of great polo in the most
perfect climate and location for playing the Game of Kings!
The San Diego Polo Club offers membership levels that appeal to any player
whether you want to play chukkers in the arena, are ready to take your first
gallop down a grass field, or are looking to put in your own team—we can
accommodate you. Don’t forget to take advantage of our early discount on
your fees if they are paid on or before February 15th. Stall fees don’t need
to be paid until your horses are ready to come to their barns.
This season our barns open April 2nd, and Stick and Ball starts April 30th.
We are planning to open the arena and school for lessons and chukkers on
Thursday, April 9th. As you can see from the attached 2011 schedule, we
will begin our popular pro pool play with weekly matches in May, and two
week tournaments in June (Opening Day is June 12) through through July, we
then return from the mid-season break and offer the 6-8 goal 6 chukker
league through the end of the summer season. We continue through October
with 4 chukker fall polo.
The club offers an array of sponsorship and advertising opportunities such
as a tournament or weekend match sponsorship (which includes a table for 8
and a corporate banner), and additional advertising such as a billboard,
sideboard, or advertisement in our beautiful club program which is also
posted on our website with links to your website.
If you are thinking of visiting San Diego from out of town this year and
want to play some polo during your visit, let us put together a visiting
player package that includes tournament participation and seats in our
members club for Sunday polo. The club has close ties with the best resorts
in San Diego, and can arrange accommodations for you and your family. Our
two week tournaments offer a fantastic opportunity to experience great polo,
perfect weather, and a chance to partake in the many family (and grown-up)

We have a packed social calendar this year with great parties and exciting
activities. Whatever your level – pro pool, stick and ball, club polo, or
high goal – I look forward to seeing you all on the fields, in the Tiki Bar,
and for lunch with a spectacular view and great polo on Sundays. Come for a
tournament, a month, or the whole season! San Diego is a great vacation
get-away.
