The Polo Report
By Steve Crowder
The Hawks are soaring and it all looks so good when you are on top. It sounds like Young Julian played awesome in his first 26-goal experience. He scored 3 goals and was always on the move, so no Mac stories tonight they are moving on and I am sure the Big Mac is Happppyy. The first 26-Goal games had two winners today as Audi with a couple of Pieres to go with Mark Ganzi were one to many. For Los Mojitas, however, they said it was not a good game, but I do not believe they are not happy with a Win. MG scored it in OT. The 3rd game is scheduled tomorrow and then round two starts on Thursday.
In the Ylvisaker it will not be the California Boys and ERG. They lost out on net goals and will play in the subsidiary George Hass Cup.
In the Desert it sounds like the weather was absolutley perfect. I actually heard a report from El Dorado that Casa Blanca beat Antelope in the 8-goal finals … a great win for Mrs. Ronai White. She has supposed to have told Dudley she is retiring after this season at EDPC. Dudley has been a huge supporter in West Coast Polo for last 20 years or so and I do not think he ever played a chukkar. All of us should to thank him for that support. THANKS DUDLEY & RONAI.
Over at Empire the Lions were roaring as well as the crowd. Do not forget Sunday’s in the Coachela Valley it is exciting and next week it will be finals at the Lions Den so get ready for a PARTY Al Haagen-style .
see ya @ POLO.
Even with my “peg-leg” I enjoy reading your posts Crowder..thanks. Kim
