FrederickMannix, Jr. is the first Canadian in close to 100 years to participate in the Argentine Open. Lewis Lacey was the first Canadian to every play in the Argentine Open. Lacey won the Argentine Open in 1915.
I am not currently in Argentina, but I’m sure Frederick Mannix, Jr. did play very well in his debut in the 114th Argentine Open. His 29-goal team, Alegría Park Hyatt, fought the defending champs La Dolfina with superstar Aldofo Cambiaso. It was a good battle, even though Alegría lost, they showed well in the biggest tournament of them all. La Dolfina def. Alegría 14-7.
In other action, Chapa Uno Toyota defeated El Paraíso Polo Team 21 – 15. Without superstar Sebastian Merlos so it makes it hard for them to be 100 % round 1 is to finish today in a wet and cold spring weather of Buenos Aires. Global warming maybe reversing down south 30 inches of rain above normal and we have not had 30 inches in 3 years . Its time to go back to the horse and buggy I think.
